Graduate Lab Work

This page serves as a comprehensive archive of the graduate laboratory work I completed throughout my Master of Science in Data Analytics at Southern New Hampshire University. Organized by course, each laboratory demonstrates practical experience applying industry-standard tools and analytical techniques across foundational data analytics, enterprise data management, and data visualization. Together, these exercises showcase the progressive development of technical skills in database design, SQL, Python, data modeling, visualization, and analytical problem-solving through hands-on coursework.

USA-China Trade Partner Analysis Tool

This tool is still receiving some final touches, but a beta version is available. A reusable Python-based trade visualization engine generates this visualization. The underlying data is stored in a tidy master dataset with separate metric and country metadata, allowing additional U.S.–China trade measures to be added without rewriting the visualization logic.

Convolutional Neural Network Model in Python

This ongoing project leverages Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to analyze and forecast daily returns of the ProShares Ultra VIX Short-Term Futures ETF (UVXY). By employing a sequence length of 60 and advanced regularization techniques, the model aims to capture temporal dependencies and improve predictive accuracy. Early results highlight promising trends but reveal challenges such as overfitting and forecast smoothing. I am actively refining the architecture and exploring recurrent layers for enhanced performance. Check back for updates as we continue to enhance this exciting initiative! The dataset used can be found here.
